About the Role

 

Fund administrator based in New York City experiencing rapid growth is looking for a senior-level fund accountant to join its team.  Responsibilities will include preparing monthly financial statements, calculating performance returns, performing reconciliations on broker and bank accounts, monitoring accruals, and coordinating payments for a well-diversified range of clients.

The applicant must be able to:​

• Demonstrate attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Exhibit an in-depth knowledge of different security types, a sound understanding of third-party fund administration and investment operations

• Quickly learn and understand complicated concepts for clients holding complex financial instruments 

• Perform in a multi-faceted role requiring flexibility, a positive attitude, and a high caliber of accuracy and responsiveness 

• Exercise impeccable professional decorum with clients and co-workers

• Focus on meeting strict deadlines

Who Should Apply

 

Only candidates with a bachelor’s degree and computer proficiency will be considered, and a professional designation such as a C.P.A., C.A., or C.F.A is strongly preferred.  The suitable candidate will have excellent time management and verbal and communication skills, a willingness to contribute ideas and provide assistance to co-workers in an evolving team structure, and a genuine motivation and willingness to learn, with a flexible attitude towards adopting additional responsibilities when appropriate. Hedge fund experience is strongly preferred, but not required. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
